Behind This Iron Curtain (Woman in the Iron Mask)
aging is one of the only democratic processes i know of, in that it happens to everyone.
if i talk about myself, i feel self-centered, if i talk about others, it's gossip; if i ask people about themselves, it sounds intrusive.
i'm having to face all these "big questions" i've watched my friends face for awhile, only i've been delayed by about a decade. i feel very alone in this process. no one to talk to about it.
sometimes i don't know who i am behind my own facade--alone, at the end of the day, without an audience.
